Hi,
unfortunately it looks like all Blackmagic capture devices can only handle TV type resolutions (SD/HD) which I guess is a subset of the EIA Standard.
The devices can not capture standard VESA timings that are used on "normal" computer screens.
I do not know if this is a hardware limitation or if could be resolved in firmware.
In theory it should be possible to capture 640x480@60Hz because the timing is less agressive then a 1080p60 timing.
It would be really cool if Blackmagic would release a new Firmware that would also allow the capturing of VESA computer formats.
What you could do is to get a (VGA to) HDMI Scaler to upscale the 640x480 signal to one that the Intensity understands....
@Esa:
HDMI is just a connector.... basically any video format can be transmitted over HDMI as long as it is within the bandwidth limitations of the HDMI specification. Set your PC graphics output to VGA and the signal will go to your monitor via HDMI no problem....
Hope that helps...
