Media Express keeps on dropping frames when recording?

So I am using a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt linked up to my macbook pro (Lion). I'm recording footage using Component cables. However, when I record, it just about immediately stops the recording because of dropping a frame. Is there any way to ignore dropping frames, or to simply be able to continue recording and not having this problem?

Look in the Pref for Media Express...

Are these boxes both checked?? (You may have to scroll down a bit) If so, uncheck them and try again.
