HDMI4k to HD-SDI Converter help.

PostThu Nov 20, 2014 9:13 pm

Hi Guys,

i´m looking for a way to convert an HDMI 2.0 4k/30p signal to 4xHD-SDI.

All i found is a HDMI-4k to 6G-SDI mini converter from BMC. I´m now thinking if another 4k distribution converter is able to convert the converted 4k-to-6G SDI signal to 4xHD-SDI.

Thanks for any help.

Kind Regards
Gary

I am using two converters to accomplish this.

I feed 4K/24 HDMI (No HDCP) to the HDMI to SDI 4K converter. That converter then feeds a single 6G SDI out to the SDI Multiplex converter. This converts the 6G SDI to Quad-link HD-SDI.

I use this combination and it works well.

It sounds like you are looking for the SDI Multiplex 4K mini converter.

Thanks chris for confirm this. I thought that this might work. I´m using an none protected HDCP HDMI 2.0 signal, will try it the way to described.

@Chad: yes, i was looking for a mini converter, but there is only a 4K SDI QUAD to HDMI converter, not a HDMI 4k to QUAD SDI mini converter from BMC. A 6G is there, but i didn't find any monitor greater then 21´ that supports 6G as input.
