Blackmagic cinema camera (2.5) with Atomos Blade?

Hi all,

is it possible to shoot real 1080i (interlaced) with Blackmagic Cinema Camera + Atomos Samurai Blade?
The channel that i worked with wants 1080i only and i have to decide wick camera should i buy.
If anyone knows, im waiting the answer asap.

The camera does not do interlaced. It's a progressive frame camera.

However, from the manual (page 33):
"If you have selected to record in 25 or 29.97 fps and set the SDI overlays to Off, the SDI output will be set to 1080i50 and 1080i59.94 respectively. This allows you to work with most switchers, which only support interlaced high definition formats."

This might work for you. It's not true interlaced. Each field is half of a progressive frame, also known as Progressive Segmented Frames (PfS):
