Using Intensity Pro with FCP X

PostSat Dec 01, 2012 4:47 pm

What functionality does the Intensity Pro card have with Final Cut Pro X? What I'm looking for is to be able to attach an HD video monitor via HDMI as a program monitor as I'm working on an edit. Also, can you capture video in FCP X? The product info on the Intensity Pro really doesn't say what works and what doesn't in FCP X, only that it's compatible with Final Cut Pro. What will it do in FCP X? And more importantly what will it not do in Final Cut Pro X.

Hi,

It is possible to use the Intensity Pro to monitor in FCPX. However it is not possible to capture in FCPX since it does not have a capture tool like in FCP7. To capture you would need to use a third party application, such as our Media Express software, and then import the captured files into FCPX.
