SmartView duo: missing feature ?

The documentation, page 32, states that one can use the Border option to set the border color around the screen, then proceeds with attempting to set the color with the Identify option.

however :

also, it states you should send an empty monitor block to get full info

automagically fixed itself when I decided to plug in the USB... and the host software upgraded the firmware
