Intensity Shuttle for USB 3.0 and HDMI speed, latency, soft

PostFri Dec 28, 2012 4:31 pm

Hello,
based on tech-specs(1) we see that this product Intensity Shuttle for USB 3.0
will support 1080p30 mode, so 30 full 1080 lines progressive frames per second, is that correct?

1) It will keep up with this speed for real time processing, yes?
2) Will it work with all computers that have USB 3.0 (and are otherwise fast enough) or what other parameters are important to be sure it is compatible? Someone mentioned it not working on some "x51 desktop" ?

3) What will be the latency between camera recording a frame and software for live production on PC seeing the frame? E.g. 0.5 second?

4) On windows it works as normal input device that should be compatible with most software?
Do you know if it works with OpenCV library?
What is the standard in which the driver provides the video.. some direct draw thing? Any keywords to read on this topic?

5) similar questions for linux - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3740
