Intensity Extreme Thunderbolt not connecting to Macbook Pro

Hi All,

I was hoping someone here might have something to add to my predicament:

Running early 2011 MBPro with OS 10.8.2
Thunderbolt capable, port is working [has been tested] and TB cable is functioning as well.

When plugged into the laptop, Extreme LED doesn't light up, doesn't connect to laptop ["No Devices Connected" under Thunderbolt in System Profiler]. I went to the Apple Store with the cable and Extreme and plugged it into their new MBPro's and it powers on and connects.

No idea what could be causing the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

It's been almost a week and I'm a bit disappointed that there's been no reply from BMD yet. A quick look through the forums and this seems to be an existing issue with early 2011 Apple products [both iMac/Mac Mini and Macbook Pro].

A suggestion would be to test the device on an early 2011 MBP/iMac or Mac Mini to try and recreate the issue and then hopefully solve it. I purchased mine online and would be losing shipping costs to return it. Sad.
