Decklink and AVID Nitris DX

PostWed Aug 29, 2012 12:18 pm

We need to output Da Vinci to our reference monitor. But have been told by our suppliers that there will be a conflict with our AVID Nitris DX hardware.

Is anyone aware of any issues here and if so is there an alternative to outputting with a decklink card which will avoid conflict with our AVID hardware.

I'm guessing no one has an answer? Any contacts at Blackmagic who I can take this up with?

Our products won't do anything to conflict. And the Nitris product is not supported in DaVinci Resolve, so it's not even likely to know the board is there.

HOWEVER, Symphony supports both the Nitris and the Decklink boards. So there maybe a conflict there. There is no option in Symphony to select which product you want to use. As far as I can tell it just picks one (probably deferring to the AVID hardware), but i'm not sure. You might want to ping AVID support about that.
