Simultaneous HD-SDI & HDMI monitoring on Mac

PostWed Aug 29, 2012 10:03 pm

What is BMD's best solution for simultaneous monitoring on HD-SDI and HDMI. I'm working on a Mac Pro 3,1 running OSX 10.6.8 and editing in both FCP 7 and FCP X. I don't need capture.

Thinking Decklink Studio is my only choice, but are there other BMD solutions?

Thanks!

The DeckLink Studio 2 would be one option, but you might also look at the DeckLink HD Extreme 3D+. The major difference would be the resolutions available to you. The Studio caps out at 1080p30 and the HD Extreme 3D+ goes up to 2K. But for a full comparison you can side-by-side the tech specs for both on our website here: http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/product ... techspecs/
