BMCC MFT output when using RAW.

PostThu Jan 28, 2016 3:22 am

Hi.

If I am using RAWs is it possible to output to external monitor (by SD) stream with LUT applied despite I am using RAW? (I am asking because of "
SDI Video Output 1 x 10-bit HD-SDI 4:2:2 with choice of Film or Video Dynamic Range. ) Or Film or Video dynamic range is conected with what I have choosen as record format.

I know that I can use thunderbolt connection and use computer during recording to monitor with lut or use monitor with lut or external lut converter.

If not possible to have luts with RAW recording what do you think about

LUT-box In-line Color Transform from AJA - not so expensive and it looks that it is doing what is needed.

or maybe you can advice somehting else but it looks it can be good addition exporting files with lut applied to any monitor.

Many thanks for the answer.

You can not outout Raw via the SDI, Raw is internal recording only. When recording Raw, you can output either the Film Log video and use a Lut box to correct or just outout the Rec 709 video stream.
