Battery power for Mini Sync Generator

PostFri May 06, 2016 3:57 pm

I'm looking for the lowest-cost, lightest-weight solution to supply portable power to the Blackmagic Mini Sync Generator.

Can anyone tell me if something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Valley-2-1mm-5-5m ... B00DX72UXW

Just plugged into something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/XTPower-MP-10000- ... B00935L44E

Is adequate? Or do I need something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Switronix-XP-MAGI ... B005KEM004

And it if the latter, do I need to go the whole 9 yards with a V-mount battery, etc?

Thanks!

Hi,

I have bought the Aukey 28000mAh (model: PB-N17), you can find it on amazon.
It comes with many adapters.

It seems to be doing the job!

I'm trying to identify the type of plug on the sync generator so i can get the correct battery pack and connector for it. I looked for the one mentioned above but cant find it in stock anymore. Would this one work:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Poweradd-23000 ... ry+pack+dc

which one of these plugs (if any) is suitable for the sync generator?

Cant find anything about this in the Sync manual.

We already have X-Pro V-mount batteries used for charging our cameras, so ideally we would just get a d-tap cable that fitted from the battery to the sync-generator. I just cant find a single piece of official information about the plug type on the Sync Generator or which cable to use... Any help much appreciated.

Update:
Would this be correct: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01KJ9RZT0/ ... il_0?psc=1
or this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01KJL5FLI/ ... B01KJL5HO8
