Ultra studio mini recorder and Aten cm1164 kvmp

PostMon Feb 13, 2017 2:06 pm

Hi I have purchased an ultra studio mini recorder, I am connecting to a Lenovo P50 running windows 7 64 bit pro, using an apple thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt adaptor, using black magic Media express media-view direct take if I connect a hdmi source direct, great can see and capture video, however I need to capture the output from an Aten CM1164 kvmp, output is dvi-d and connecting via a dvi to hdmi adaptor, but despite trying several different setting I get nothing in the capture window, any advice would be great
Thanks

Hello Greg. Often DVI-D outputs RGB and must be YUV to work with the products. Try putting an HDMI splitter on the HDMI end with a second HDMI cable to the Mini Recorder. And make sure the frame rate and resolutions match between devices.
