HyperDeck Studio Mini - HDMI output

Hey all - I have quick question that I didn't see answered in the Hyperdeck users manual.

If I use the SDI input on the Hyperdeck Studio Mini, is that input signal passed through to the HDMI output during recording, or is the HDMI output strictly for playback? I would ideally like to monitor the input on an external HDMI monitor during recording.

Hello Paul. Yes, the HDMI output will show whatever input is being used while in Record or EE mode. Same would be true for the SDI out.

Just to be sure - can the SDI out be downsampled to HD (with a UHD input)? And again, will the SDI output be during playback and recording, as well as prior to recording?

There is no scaling of the source/media on output to any other format other than the actual footage. The output from the device will pass the signal that's being recorded though.
