BMMCC Expansion Control

PostFri Mar 24, 2017 4:40 am

Hey

I have a Flysky FS-i6 which is basically a 6 channel radio control transmitter and receiver using PWM to control servos and it also has switches...

I am trying to get the BMMCC to start/stop by assigned Channel 6 to one of the on/off switches and then in the BMMCC assigning SERVO1 to Rec/stop and then plugging the servo1 cable to the correct channel on the receiver.. Red being ground and white being the signal...

It doesn't work!!
Well it did once but doesn't stop when I switched it off....

Is this possible?
It's supposed to work right?
Is there anything else I need to know or do?

Cheers
Mat

On a PWM radio system that uses theee wires, red is used for +VDC for servo power, Black is ground, and white is the servo control signal.

Hi Denny

My understanding is if I short the servo1 SIGNAL to ground then it will start recording. Unshort it and it will stop recording. U can do this using a switch on pin3 on the expansion port. I've got it working doing that.

On the radio control unit I have assigned one of the on/off switches to channel 6...

The voltage between the SIGNAL and GROUND is 0.85 volts and when the switch is on its 0.43 volts.

I'm confused about how on the Blackmagic website it shows a switch assigned to start/stop...
What is the wiring for that?
