Ursa mini pro v mount plate wiring conundrum

PostFri Apr 21, 2017 3:02 pm

Hi

I bought the wrong v mount plate for my ursa min pro becasue it does not come with correct power cables to connect to the ursa. Before I buy a new one with the correct cable I though maybe I should ask if the following idea is safe for the camera.

I'm thinking of soldering the red and black cables the would run from the battery to the camera via the v mount plate...please see image for a better explanation.

Would this work safely with my camera?

Why did you not buy the official BMD vlock plate. It has the drop in connector and all is working correctly.

I would not risk my precious camera by striping and soldering cables..
