Guys,

I have this used mini recorder that is not recognized by Desktop Video. Window 10 detects it, but shows a yellow alert/triangle thing with a message to the tune of "This device reported a problem so windows had to disable it".

When I powered up the first time, I had it installed next to another fully functional mini recorder, a prompt popped up asking me to update the Blackmagic drivers. As soon as I did that and rebooted, the same prompt popped up again ...and again...and again, every time I start the PC.

Any ideas if this card is salvageable or it has gone to greener pastures?

Try completely uninstalling the Desktop Video from the computer and then reinstall it.

Tony,

I did this quite a few a times. How likely is it to be a driver issue though, provided I have two other mini recorders that work fine. Would rolling back the driver make any sense?

Generally, when a card is faulty does it register with the device manager at all?

thanks!

If you had mentioned you had other products of ours being recognized fine, the other suggestion I'd mention is swapping the card not being detected into one of the slots that has a card being recognized and see what the result is. It could be that one of the slots doesn't meet the requirements or possibly that card has stopped working and at that point, our guidance would be contacting your regions support office for the next steps.
