BM miniXLR cable stuck in VideoAssist 4K

I ordered a pair of the BM miniXLR – XLR patch cables and one of them stuck in the "Analog Audio in 2" XLR the first time I tried it. The latch button pushes in OK but the plug won't release. The other lead seems OK.
Anyone else had this, or just my bad luck?

Try pushing the plug in as you pr SS the release button, then pull it out. If this does not work, contact BM Support directly for assistance.

Thanks Denny, been trying that everytime I used the damn thing and no success until tonight.
Don't know if it had anything to do with it being a very hot day here, but that eventually worked.
I could have returned it to where I bought it, but I decided just to put up with it.
