Decklink Extreme 4k-6G version

PostTue Jun 20, 2017 8:20 pm

Does anyone know definitively, no guessing please, that the Decklink 4K Extreme(6G version) can output 2160p at 59.94(60)?
Also, is the HDMI Type A connector on the Decklink 4K Extreme 12G the same as the HDMI Type A connector on the Decklink 4k Extreme 6G?

From BM website
Ultra HD Video Standards
2160p23.98, 2160p24, 2160p25, 2160p29.97, 2160p30, 2160p50*, 2160p59.94*, 2160p60*
*Output only

From B&H Website
3840 x 2160p23.98, 3840 x 2160p24, 3840 x 2160p25, 3840 x 2160p29.97, 3840 x 2160p30, 4096 x 2160p23.98, 4096 x 2160p24, 4096 x 2160p25, 4096 x 2160p29.97

These are the specs that are currently on the BM website for this card. However, all vendors websites including B&H do not mention the 2160p 60 output only spec. I'm looking at this card and need to verify whether or not the card can actually do the output.

I'm hoping the card is only 4x pci-e because it doesn't ingest 2160 p60. The next card up for me would be the Kona 4 card and it is an 8x pci-e card.

This card says this about the connector:
HDMI Video Outputs
1 x HDMI type A connector including 3D frame packing support and Ultra HD support.

The Decklink Extreme 4K 12G says this:
HDMI Video Inputs
HDMI type A connector with support for 2160p60.

Thank you.

I have the Decklink 4K-6G Version for many years now - I am grateful to BMD since the HFR support developed over time by Driver updates.

Two things with this card are important:

- the card may not work in every slot of your motherboard - wrong colours etc.
- the card will not work correct with each driver version

In my case it works on output with 2160p50 via HDMI with the driver versions

- 10.4.1
- 10.8.0
