What other hardware needed

I purchase the ultra studio mini recorder. Do I need and other hardware for streaming beside the hdmi and thurderbolt cable. I have a camcorder, someone told me the I also need streaming hardware. Is this true.

You can use what you have there, but you'll obvs. need software that not only records but has the ability to stream out to your chosen CDN

And offcoarse a laptop or MacBook that supports Thunderbolt connection.
