Very new to video. Just installed Video Assist 4K in a church. Video feed is Vaddio RoboShot 3 SDI and audio is from a Behringer X32. The goal is to record video in a format that can be used in a PC with Microsoft Movies & TV or other standard player, and sent straight to YouTube.
Made the first recordings to a .mov file with DNxHD (AVdn) video codec. Both get an "encoded in a format that's not supported" error when trying to play with Movies & TV or MediaPlayer.
VLC Media Player works great.
My question is what's the optimum encoding/recording format to go from chip to PC to YouTube? Second question, how do I save the existing files with a different format.
Thanks in advance - JCS
