Cfast to SSD Breakout Cable

Hello all - very frustrated here and I can't find anyone else having this issue - I have built the DIY CFast to SSD record module and the camera is not recognizing the cards - yes I have flipped the switch from SD to Cfast.

I can hook the drive to my computer and it mounts on USB 3.0 - when I hook it to the camera - I get power through D-Tap and I've tried everything I can think to get the camera to see it - and it just won't.

Any ideas?
