BM Desktop Video will not recognize H.264 Pro Recorder

PostTue Aug 29, 2017 4:02 am

Just purchased H.264 Pro Recorder. When running Desktop Video Setup I get the message - "No Desktop Video Device Detected". BM Media Express seems to recognize the H.264 and work fine, but not Desktop Video. When I plug the device into my USB port I do get the Windows audio tone of a device being detected, but Desktop Video will not recognize. I downloaded the latest release of Desktop Video (10.9.5). Still nothing. Am I missing something obvious?

There are no settings available via Desktop Video. You being able to see it in Media Express indicates it is working as intended.

There isn't a lot of s/ware that works with the h264 recorder other than media express and MX-Light which was designed to record using VLC and stream out to a CDN. I'm not sure if it's still supported but MX-Light might be something to consider if you want to do more than record with the H264 device.
