Hlez plz! - No Audio signal

Hi there, i have an urgent question. I´ve conncted my Nikon D800 with my brand new Blackmagic Video Assist 4k via HDMI cable. I can record video but there is no audio signal. I tryed with the camera-mic an with an Rode extern mic. Can anybody help me?

Unfortunately my English is not so well, so if you may answer in German it would be al little easier for me.

Hello Lars. Some cameras do not output audio on the HDMI port and some audio signals are not the same standard as the Video Assist. The audio must be 24 bit at 48Khz. You could check to see if the audio connects to a monitor first.
