Decklink Pro 4K - accessing both channels

PostFri Sep 01, 2017 5:40 pm

I've just purchased a Decklink Pro 4K in order to capture 2 x 1080p25 camera sources simultaneously for a machine vision project. We're having problems accessing the second channel.

Despite the spec showing '2 x 12Gb/s SD/HD/2K/4K' inputs. I've seen some forum posts suggesting the second channel is for dual link or stereoscopic or simply not for a second capture source.

We're using the Linux SDK and Media Express for testing, but some clarification on how to capture two sources simultaneously would be great.

Thanks in advance.

The posts you've seen on the forums are correct. There is no dual capture unless it is a dual link source. The only capture products that allow for multiple source ingest are the DeckLink Duo 2 and Quad 2.

Ok - thanks. Please can I suggest that's clarified on the product pages. It clearly says two inputs.
