UltraStudio Mini Reocder

PostSat Sep 30, 2017 9:23 pm

Hello All,

I'm new to here so please be easy to me :)

I recently bought a ATEM Television Studio HD and found that this doesn't support capture to Media Express as like previous version ATEM Television anymore.

So I quick search to what product to make it capture the live video.
And there is two option to me.

1) Decklink Mini Recoder

2) UltraStudio Mini Reocder

My main question is there a cable support Thunderbolt(2) to USB or Ethernet to capture the live video if I buy UltraSTudio Mini Reocder?

Kind regards,

No not possible.. You or need a Thunderbolt(2) connection or you need another device for capturing like a decklink card.

But that is not really an option if you have a laptop.(non mac).

The hardware for thunderbolt devices is not going anyware fast on the windows machines..
And USB-C is not yet really supported by BMD.. I have read a few people that tryed to use a USB-C to Thunderbolt converter cable but did not suceed.

So at this moment there is not really a good way for capturing HD content on a Win laptop.. If you are oke with 720P you could use the Webpresenter and use a program like wirecast lite and try to record from there.
