Good morning,
any one of you are using micro SD card with adapter instead of SD card for the Video Assist 5"?

No, does not work very well. BM recommended against doing this.

Just to understand, have you tried with an adaptor or are you just reporting BM advices? Because I'm planning to buy a 200 GB micro SD UHS-1 for about 50 euro and I want to understand which is the actual problem with it. It is supposed the device is technologically the same but smaller, the adaptor is just a plastic shell as the SD itself.

I tried this with a 128GB Micro card, and it did not work, dropped frames, etc. The Micro cards do not seem to record data as fast as the full size SD cards. I do not see a listing for a 200GB Extreme Plus or Pro Micro card (only a Micro Plus which is too slow for video recording on a BM Camera), only a 128GB which is $90,while a 128GB SD version is $69, and a 256GB SD is $128. So I do not see a cost saving here either?
Cheers

Thank you for your reply. The one I've selected is up to 95MB/s (633x). If the card adaptor is able to keeps the same features do you think it would be some problems?

I would not do it..

Few reasons would be Heat.. Because they use smaller flash chips the heat may increase.
Contact.. If for some reason the contact in the adapter is a bit rotten.. oxidised whatever.. You could have big transfer issues.. Not keeping speed and dropped frames..

Then again the BMD hardware is very picky on their cards. And even recommended cards do fail sometimes.. So i would not buy anything that is not on the approved list from BMD..

I second what Daniel said. You are wasting your money on this, while it looks like it should work, it does not!
Cheers
