Hello,
I wonder if Mini Converter UpDownCross converter can convert 1080p50 to 1080i50?

No, I asked BM Support this question, their response was:
Hello Al,
No, the UpDownCross converter will not convert 1080i to 1080p or vice versa. For that type of conversion you would need a Teranex 2D, 3D, AV, or Express.

There are less expensive solutions available than the Teranex. What is your 1080p source that you need to convert to 1080i?

I am doing stream in 1080p50, additionally, I do provide video replay in the same standard (it is a requirement), but the Cube on the arena support only 1080i50.
Trying to make a budget streaming solution for local sports events. The switcher is ATEM Television Studio HD

Atomos has some new scalers coming out, and the Decimator MD-HX will also work. Best price is going to be around $300-400 for this.

so DECIMATOR MD-HX Miniature HDMI/SDI Cross Converter should work with 1080p50 from 3GSDI to 1080i50 HD SDI?

Looks like it to me, based on their specs. But I would contact Decimator directly to confirm this.

Blackmagic's current Mini Converter UpDownCross HD will convert 1080p to 1080i and vice versa. It will also do frame rate conversion. Any of the listed video formats will be converted to the required SDI output based on the mini switch settings. It will even do Level A to Level B 3G-SDI conversion using switch 2.
