Ready to Buy

I've been a Premiere Pro user for years, but am wondering why I should keep shelling out $600 a year when I can buy and own Resolve for $300. One thing I do like about Adobe CC, though, is the automatic updates that are included in the subscription. Video evolves daily, and I want to always be current. How does DaVinci keep my software current? Is there a price for upgrades?

AFAIK upgrades have always been free. They just moved from major version 12 to 14 and nobody had to pay.

I’ve been using Resolve since version 8.2 I think and never paid for any update.
