Intensity Shuttle won't recognise HDMI 1080p

PostSat Feb 10, 2018 7:23 am

I'm try to stream video from my Sony RX100 Mk3 HDMI out port through the Shuttle to my Mac. I can see the video feed in the BM Media Express when I set the camera to 1080i, however when I set the camera to 1080p the signal is not detected.

As I use 1080p, I would much prefer to capture in this. Any ideas why it may be dropping out?
Thanks

Most likely that the source is outputting a feed that's above a 1080p30. The Intensity Shuttle will not support formats above 1080p30 but you can see the list of supported formats on the tech spec page of the product.

I was only able to get the Sony 6500 to work using 1080i60 and setting the software to 1080i 59.94. Clearly, Sony cameras are not exactly labeled correctly. I have it working in OBS with a matching setting.

Yes many cameras list their frame rate at 24, 30 and 60fps, but in reality they are actually 23.94, 29.97, and 59.94. It is always best to connect a camera in question directly to a monitor and etc what it is actually outputting.
