Conversion Questions

PostSun Feb 11, 2018 2:01 pm

Hi,

I have several Sources
- HD-SDI Surveillance Cameras: 1080p25
- Recorder and Quad: (with MicroConverter HDMI-SDI) 1080p60

which are connected to the SmartVideoHub 12*12
The Sources are recognized in the Hub fine...

As I want to distribute signals to some rooms, where I have some Samsung Screens (1920*1080 60), I bought some MicroConverters to put them in front of the screens to convert SDI to HDMI...
BUT - no signal, doesn't matter if I route the Quad with 1080p60 or the cameras to them...

If I connect the camera directly onto Screen (with MC SDI-HDMI), the screen says "no suitable HDMI Mode)...

So, the question:
Are the MicroConverters the wrong choice..? Are there other converter which will work fine with that??

I did also a test with Quad-"MC HDMI-SDI"-"MC SDI-HDMI"-Screen - no signal... That's wired, or do I have a fault in my thinking...?

Best and thanks in advance..

Hard to tell about your whole setup, like if the Samsung monitor can handle 1080p60, or just 1080i60. That P makes your possible cable runs shorter, and may not work for your monitor.

You might try converting to 1080i instead of sending the 1080p, and see if that works for you.

Some screens supports only Blu-Ray standards like 1080p30, my LG's can't handle anything over that. On the other hand my Sony's can handle 1080p60 or 1080i60 just fine.
