Hello.
Just upgraded my BMD Video Assistant to firmware version 2.5.1.
Have an issue with the displayed video on the LCD jumping around like its trying to vertical sync.
However, the recorded video is perfectly fine. THANKFULLY ....
Used the latest version of the firmware updater.
Anyone else having this issue?
If there a fix ?
Thanks,
Jim

I had this same issue when I updated the firmware on my Video Assist. I then downgraded and upgraded again and it still had the same issue.

Then a few hours later I turned it on and the issue was gone (and I have not seen any problems since - been a few months now).

I know that doesn't solve the issue for you, but that was my experience and I hope yours is already working again!

Hi John.
Reading your post, I powered up the VA via the wall plug.
I have yet to use it with battery only.
On this power up I had the same issue as before.
Powered it off and pulled the SD card to xfer the video to my MacBook .
Once completed, put the SD card back into the VA and powered on again.
Inserted an HDMI source signal and it worked fine.
The display screen erratic display was gone.
Only thing I can think of is the number of power cycles in between.
I did not do re-flash the firmware.
So for now, all is well.
Thank you for responding to my query.
Jim
