Blackmagicdesign UltraStudio Mini Recorder OUT Cable

Does it necessarily need a thunderbolt cable for this or USB Cable Type C will be fine for this?
I want stream/record only FullHD to my laptop, not 4K.

Thunderbolt cables are very expensive!

The cable came and it turned out that the port in this device is not thunderbolt 3.

In my laptop I have thunderbolt 3 input, what is the easiest way to connect both devices?

Can anyone help?
