Intensity Shuttle thunderbolt on PC?

PostFri Apr 20, 2018 11:20 am

I purchased a Black Magic Design Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt, for digitizing video, a couple of years ago. At that time, the idea was to use a Apple Mac computer for this, but at this time, I would like to use a PC. I wonder if it was possible, since I have a desktop (not laptop) computer, and have the ability to purchase a thunderbolt card, is it possible to use the Intensity Shuttle, connecting it to the thunderbolt card, and using it with windows?

The thunderbolt card will only run if the motherboard supports it. Thunderbolt cards aren't like usb cards where you can just plug 'em in a slot and away..

Thanks! So it's up to the motherboard if it supports the card initially then? If it does, it works? Do you know how I can find out about if the motherboard supports it?
