What is the procedure to update DVR?

The title says it all. (DVR=Davinci Resolve) I have the Free Version.
How can I find the the latest Version NUMBERS so that I can compare with what I have?
What is the procedure to update?
From what I have seen it just seems to be to download it again an re-install. I guess this will NOT erase
my database? I am going from 15.xxx to 15.xxx.
Also I can't remember witch email I used originally to download the first version I downloaded.
