Micro HDMI to HDMI adapter

PostSat May 04, 2013 4:22 pm

I have 4 HD cameras all with Micro HDMI out. I also have a ATEM 1. I have to run the cameras 25' to 50' for live sporting events.

Can I use Micro HDMI to HDMI adapters such as

Connected to an HDMI cable?

Or do I have to buy HDMI to SDI adapters for each camera?

What is the best way to do this?

Why not just run an HDMI mini to HDMI cable? Seem silly to use an adaptor and cable when a simple cable would do a better more stable job.

How long are these though? I am doing live sporting events and will be running 4 cameras up to 50' away from the ATEM.

I would love to just buy a micro HDMI to HDMI cable or adapter to run that far.

We had used small handy camcorders canon with atem on exhibition show for live streaming.. All with hdmi mini connectors.. Only max 3meter cables worked for us.. For longer distances we had used hdmi to sdi converter for two cameras with longer distance..

Here is movie about making in czech language .. http://elektrika.tv/video/2013/13amperfilmofilmu_1.mp4

I think 50' would be a stretch for HDMI. You'd probably be better of converting to HDSDI.

So a standard HDMI to SDI converter box then?
