We have a HD Studio Mini recorder connected to an STI output from our Yamaha Pro video mixer/switcher. We have been capturing video with embedded audio and editing with no problems for a couple months with this setup. Video records normally on the SD card in Slot #1 - audio is embedded as expected.
Today we recorded to the SD card in Slot #2 (32 GB - identical to one we use in Slot #1) for the first time. When the .mov file was uploaded to our editor there was no audio with the video. I also tried playing the file using VLC directly from the SD card, still - video but no audio. Again, everything works fine when we use (just last week) Slot #1. We are using the same video mixer, with the same setting, and the same STI output from our Yamaha and the same video editor that we use every week into the BM HyperDeck Mini. All we did was select slot #2 instead of the usual slot #1. Slot 32 has a different SD card than Slot 1 but same exact specs - same manufacturer, same "speed" and same capacity. The card in Slot 2 was formatted in the HD Mini, just like the card in Slot 1. NOTHING else was changed as to the Switcher and no changes were made to the HyperDeck Mini between last time and this time - only change was selecting Slot 2 instead of Slot 1. Yes, the indicators were Green for the card in slot 2.
Any suggestions?
