Using PoE switch + power cord Teranex Mini

PostThu Sep 27, 2018 6:26 am

What happens when I plug in a Teranex PoE+ enabled box with both an AC cable and into a PoE+ enabled switch (Netgear GS116PP for example)?

Does the Teranex box stop the PoE+ if it has AC? Or does it activate/draw power down the PoE+ and the AC both?

Ideally the Teranex all use their main AC power unless there's a failure and then start to use the PoE+ as a backup... I'm hoping to not overload my PoE+ switch!

Thanks!

There will be no issue with the AC and PoE both being connected at the same time.
