Unable to Display Content on Black Magic from Crestron

Everything is working okay for our main camera and display to the screens in our viewing area but the Black Magic system does not allow the Content being presented to show up on the Black Magic counsel? The camera for the presenter shows up fine but content Window is black. We had some luck when we tried to display from a Windows machine but seems that a Mac never works or intermittently flashes and turns black??? Any ideas?

Hardware:

Vaddio Roboshot cameras to SDI Tie Lines (in/out) to Blackmagic ATEM Studio, SDI Program Out to Blackmagic Web Presenter, SDI Program Out to SDI cable to Ultrastudio Mini Recorder to Thunderbolt cable to Mac. I’m not quite sure the tie lines matter here, but the basic setup with our Blackmagic equipment is camera>ATEM Studio>Web presenter>Ultrastudio mini>Mac. Turns out that Crestron is actually not involved here.

Trying to get both Content and Presenter windows up simultaneously so we can record on our mp4 using the Mac connected to equipment.

The content is laptop / macbook you are trying to get into the Atem. Most common problem is that you have a resolution / framerate mismatch! Meaning that your source is not in the same resolution and framerate than the Atem and Cameras.

This happens often with laptops.. Best practise for laptops (without playing with the screen settings every time again!!) is to put a BMD UDC HD or Decimator MD-HX behind the laptop. And go SDI to the mixer. The converter will fix your resolution and framerate problems and will always output the right resolution and framerate. Not depending on what any laptop or macbook outputs..

No. The problem is that this device will only change the cable type so to say.. It does not change resolution or framerate and just passes the signal in the same resolution and framerate. That is why you need the UpDownCross converter, which will solve the constant battle of getting the laptops in the right resolution that the Atem expects.
