new Decklink Studio 4K card not working

PostSat Jan 12, 2019 6:55 pm

Would anybody know if the Decklink Studio 4K is compatible with a Asus X299 motherboard? I have the studio card in that motherboard and it doesn't work. Both are brand new. There is no audio or video passing through the card in or out and the windows playback devices shows the Decklink card as unavailable.
Thank you.

Correction. Sorry. That's Windows record input devices Decklink card unavailable. In playback devices the decklink card is enabled, you can see audio in the level meter and volume is 100% but the output of the card is dead quiet.
Thanks,
Carlo.

It would be helpful for others trying to provide guidance and troubleshooting tips if you could give some additional information on your system as well as driver versions installed on your card. We would also suggest that if you haven't fully updated the OS and graphics card/BIOS drivers, that you do so and then post those results.

Problem solved! The Decklink Studio card is bad. Replaced with another one fresh out of the box, now it works. No other changes made. The bad card is fresh out of the box also. Thanks to my dealer for providing the replacement card.
