I'm using the BM Video Assist on my Canon 5D Mk IV with the CLog upgrade. The videos recorded on the Video Assist are much lighter than the ones recorded on the 5D itself. I feel it's to do with the HDMI Range setting on the video assist. Changing this setting however, makes no difference to the viewed or recorded image on the Video Assist.
What is the correct HDMI Range setting for the Canon 5D Mk IV? "Full" or "Video"?
