Day 1 with Intensity Shuttle/USB 3.0: Black screens only

Hello,

I've spent today trying to get the Intensity Shuttle/USB 3.0 to capture anything.

It appears to be working fine — e.g. I can record using Blackmagic Media Express without errors — but the device only sees black (or doesn't seem to find the HDMI signal, as the case may be).

So far I've tried the HDMI output of two devices, an HTC EVO 4G and a Visio VTAB. I can plug both into my TV and they work fine.

I really need help getting started, but I don't see a way to get it. Is there one, or is my only option to return the device?

Hey,

Have you tried configuring the inputs in the Blackmagic Control Panel? Make sure it is set to HDMI.

Also, the Intensity series of products does not support HDCP (DRM over HDMI), so game consoles like the PS3 need a product like the HD Fury to decrypt the content.
