Does SDI->HDMI Mini Converter 6G support Full Range/Data LUT

PostWed Mar 06, 2019 10:32 pm

Here is my workflow on PC:
Decklink mini monitor 4k -> SDI cable -> SDI to HDMI MC 6G -> HDMI out -> Eizo CG2420.

I have been profiling using Lightspace to create a 3D LUT for the mini converter. After numerous tries, it seems Full Range/Data LUT's are not supported. When I upload the LUT into converter and verify, greyscale is correct, but colors are still somewhat outside of Rec709. After contacting LightIllusion, the workaround was to use it's VideoScale option to convert the LUT into Video levels, then upload it.

Can anyone confirm that only LUT's for video levels are supported? Or is there a firmware update to allow Full Range/Data levels LUT's?

I can add that I'm having a similar issue with the 12G bi-directional micro converter.
