Intensity Extreme - Thunderbolt to USB - complete newbie

PostTue Mar 12, 2019 11:02 am

Morning all.

Hope you can offer some assistance.

I’ve been given a Blackmagic Intensity Extreme off a friend to use for my team to live stream our home games but it has a thunderbolt connector and I have a windows i5 that I was intending to use it with using OBS software to stream to YouTube live.

So my question is this - can I buy a thunderbolt to usb adaptor to connect to my laptop? Or will there be any issues with this method?

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions

No, you need a Thunderbolt port to use that device.

The Intesity Extreme is an (older) analog capture device, which also needs (external) software to run.
You really should look for another device, try the OBS (stream/broadcast) forum groups or gamer forum groups,
These people can help you much better.
