Desktop Video Setup Thunderbolt

PostMon Apr 29, 2019 1:54 pm

Hello,

I'm running a Mac pro (Late 2013 dustbin model) with OS Mojave, 3.5ghz 6-core Intel Xeon, 16Gb DDR3, and an AMD Firepro D500

I have both a BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt and the BlackMagic Intensity Extreme (legacy) (also thunderbolt version).

I've tried installing different versions of the available software/ drivers, now running version 11.1 and Desktop video setup will not detect any hardware is ever plugged in, even after a kernel rescan.

Surely with HDMI plugged in and the thunderbolt connected it should just recognise something, i've spent ages trying to figure this out, please help.

What am I missing?

SOLVED: Turns out my Thunderbolt cable was a cheaper DisplayPort cable and although it may fit the hole they are not always compatible. I invested in a official Apple Thunderbolt cable and it simply just worked.
