Sony HXR-MC2500 to MacBook Pro

Need to connect my Sony camcorder to my MacBook Pro (USB-c) to live stream a graduation ceremony this weekend using Wirecast Pro. I own an Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt, but cannot get the camera to be seen by the Mac. Maybe I purchased the wrong adapter, I don't know.

Bottom line, what do I need to have or do to make the two talk to one another?
