I'd like to use Web presenter in a controlled system so can I send commands to it to select the input for example, from crestron or similar system.
Is there an API allowing remote control of Web Presenter

I do not think so, it’s USB connection is for firmware updates only.

Euh Denny?? The USB IS the connection to stream video. 
It is like a Webcam right 
But no i guess there is no API. You should do all switching before entering the device.
Rather seamless also if you want to keep the stream up and going.
