Does recording in Raw 30 fps require more file space, causing computer to run slower?

And does 30 fps have a slight smoother look vs 24 fps?

File space not that much different, and yes, 30/29.97fps will look smoother on a 60Hz Monitor than 24fps.
Cheers

I guess 24p is more wanted for the cinematic "look", more of a taste/look choice, for that matter.

FYI, Brandon Li has a useful short tutorial (free) on youtube about framerates:

One thing to watch out for on the original Pocket, at least in my case the risk of dropped frames increases when I use 30 fps on the original Pocket using the BMD-approved SanDisk SD cards. They've worked flawlessly for me at 23.98 and 24 fps, but last month I filmed an event at 30fps and got lots of dropped-frame warnings on longer clips, shooting in Prores HQ. When I go back down to 23.98 or 24fps, no dropped frames. Might be an anomaly but just something to watch out for.
