Yes, it can currently do the same recording capability from the Z6 as the Ninja V does, allowing you to record 10-bit, 4.2.2 video and NLog. Also you get a bigger monitor, false color and Waveform monitors to help set correct exposure, and additional frame guides, not available in the Z6. You can also add better quality mics, inputted directly into the VA 4K. Just make sure you get a new high bandwidth HDMI cable to go between the Z6 and the VA4K.

Thank you! I appreciate it.
Out of curiosity. Will this VA do much for the new 6k camera?

The Picket Cameras 4/6K only record UHD, 4K and 6K (PC6K Only) to their internal media drives, the HDMI only outputs a HP/1080p signal regardless of the camera setting, so you can get a HD backup file in ProRes, and the VA will give you all the Monitor advantages.

I can add better quality mics.. better than what? the mic on the camera? Can't I already add better quality mics than the mic on the camera?

Yes, but the camera only has a unbalance hiZi input, which cam take a mic like VideoMicPro, or similar.
The VA has balanced LoZi inputs that take professional XLR type mics, by-passing the lower quality camera mic preamp. That said, a mic with its own preamp, like the VideoMic Pro does quite nicely for most applications, and is a step above the camera built in mics. Mist camera built in mics are not very good.
