Hi All,

Trying to update my Video Assist to the newest version.

But I'm not able to get a connection between my Macbook and Video Assist. Also tried connecting to a Windows Laptop. Not able to connect either.

Video Assist setup is running latest version 2.5.3
Video Assist is running 2.5.1
Also tried 2.5.1 on the Macbook Pro

Any suggestions.

Macbook Pro Late 2011
MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.6
2.4Ghz Intel Core i5

Anybody any suggestions.....

Are you updating the Video Assist 5" or 7" model? The 2.5.3 update only provides enhancements for the 4K (7") model, so if you're trying to update the 5" it likely won't update it; the 2.5.1 version is the latest version for the 5".

Good morning Brad,

Tnx for your reply,

Have a 5" model, so that's why it's not updating.
And also had a broken cable

A broken cable will keep it from working. BMD FW updates have a Read Me file attached that states what equipment/camera the update if for, and what the update features are. FW 2.5.3 read me file states the update is for the VA 4K only... ;)

Hi Avmaster. I have a 5" video assist too and the firmware is 2.5.1. I connect to the MacBook Pro using a USB cable.MacOs High Sierra 10.13.6
Try replacing your usb cable.
